Community Service Opportunities

Check out our Community Service page for all of our upcoming community service opportunities!
Every year the council gets phone calls from parents of girls looking for the Girl Scout experience, and troop placement is not always a viable option for one reason or another. With the new Pathway options we can help these girls explore program in a variety of different ways. We can encourage girls to register as independent members and tap into Council and Service Unit programs to discover the Girl Scout community.

As a team we can offer programs in a day event or series of events to showcase why we bring the Girl Scout program to our community in the troop Pathway.
A series can bring a little more program to girls who would otherwise not be able to participate and show other adults that it is fun and rewarding for them to be a part of that experience at the same time. Together girls and adults can explore the possibilities.

As part of the Spring Campaign we want to reach out to other girls in our community and host a recruitment event either as a troop or as a service unit. June is fast approaching –do you have your activity planned yet?

I hope this inspires you to reach out to other girls. I am here to support you. Let me know if your church would like to add GS program to their vacation bible school or if your troop wants to do a recruitment event to earn the Recruitment portion of the 2014 Spring Membership badge.
